I can't wait to get away!!

I'm about to go crazy. Being stuck in for most of the winter has finally caught up. We've been so busy lately that we've not even been able to enjoy the record breaking weather. (yesterday was a new record high of 85 for April) So the wife and I are going on a camping trip this weekend. There is a very nice campground that we were introduced to by some friends a while back and now it's our favorite spot. The grounds have a "primitive" area made up of 5 tent sites that you have to park the car and hike to get too. Most campgrounds around here in the Midwest are all open with maybe a tree for every 10 sites. But this area is pretty cool since the sites are basically dug out of a wooded area. You can't even see the next site over from you. Oh, it's right on the lake too, bonus! I think I'm going to attempt and practice the bow drill method this weekend too. Just might give my Spyderco Bushcraft a good workout too!

Anyway, I can't wait to get away from technology and unplug with the simple life and cooking over the fire. Anyone else with cabin fever?

Same here my friend, been busy with business for some time now and I need to get outside and play.

the wife and I are taking off to the mountains for a long weekend in May.

bought some new outdoor/camping gear I can't wait to try out.

I'm counting the minutes already!
