Hi guys - just fooling with my GoPro in the middle of a thunder storm 1080W 80FPS - still have the ozone smell in my nose.

So this is about 1/10th of a second total!

Yeah, I'd love to see some good pictures of a Texas lightning storm. I've always enjoyed watching and hearing the storms in Houston; there aren't many good storms 'round Utah.

yer digital camera logic circuits got a bit overwhelmed in frame 2 :)

what was the timing between the frames?

made cool photos anyway!

Awesome pics:) One of my favorite natural displays is a good lightning storm.

Thanks guys!

I know it's no Georgia or Texas lightning shots and taken with consumer grade material (GoPro Hero4 Black Edition)

Settings was on 80 frame per second.
So frame 1: 0s
frame 2 (1/80s),
frame 3 (2/80s),
(...) you get the picture (pun intended)

Now what I wonder if it would have been better at higher speed or not.
The GoPro doesn't seems to like sudden flashes or bangs...

Last year I wrapped it on my shotgun - the results were lamentable.
1- The wide fish eye lens even at 4K can barely see a bird size object at 10 yards.
2- The GoPro mic doesn't pickup the bang. Dunno if it's because of the recoil or the noise.

I saw some "national geographic" grade things last year and the GoPro couldn't catch it properly.
Biggest disappointment was a mother Lynx with 3 cubs.
