Now it looks a little more "tactical". The pics don't show the brightness of the flamed Ti. The blues and reds are very vivid in person (plus my picture taking skills suck). This knife rocks:)

Very cool! I know it's not tiger-striped, but it still reminds me of a Strider design!!

I did'nt want to stripe it. I was looking for more of a camo pattern, which I think I achieved. Thanks for looking:)

Can you provide some more info on how you did it. Heat source, layed on a heat resistant surface or hung from a wire, time in the flame?

A "how to" for us who don't like to experiment with expensive knives :)

Disassemble knife (void warranty).
Lay scales on heat resistant surface (I used steel welding table).
Fire-up oxy-acetelyne torch (low, hot flame- about 2"long).
Apply heat- experiment! Certain spots, heated to cherry red, will cool to dark brown/reddish color. Others, with less heat will cool to a dark royal blue.
Let cool.
Reassemble knife (the correct way:))
