Although this is not specifically about Schrade, I thought you folks might appreciate this (since it involves the use of my 8OT).

I have finally learned how to sharpen knives to hair tip cutting sharpness. Yes, I know that's old hat for you guys, but hey, my new found talent gives me a thrill.

Anyway, today I went to the break room to refill my cup of coffee. I reached for one of those sugar packets, and for some reason, instead of tearing it open, I said, "What the hell. Slice it." So, I took out the 8, held the pack gently between the thumb and forefinger of my left hand about 1/2" from the top, and gently sliced the top off with the clip point. Folks standing nearby gave me some strange looks.

Surely ya'll can relate to this can't you?

Yup - do something like that every chance I get :D Our company buys coffee beans for our coffee machine and they come in 1 kg foil bags. It's pretty amazing to watch other sheeple try to tear that bag open and dump a bunch of beans everywhere, when a blade does it so neatly :D I normally will use either my Spydie Delica/BM Mini Grip/Ka-Bar Dozier folding hunter for this. I sometimes get the "look" when I snap open my Camillus Heat or my Endura. Usually it's just a comment on how sharp my blades are :) There's this little foil ridge where the bag is joined, and if the blade is just slightly dull, it hangs there. Most of the time, one motion and the tops off :D
