Well after seeing that Amazon.com had the BK2 for $53 delivered, I started sweating and could not handle the pressure anymore and bought it. I also figured, what the heck since I was clicking the mouse anyway, I tossed in the BK9 as well.

I hope I did alright with the BK2. I was considering the RC5 and really did not see a lot of difference between the two except for about $75.

Somebody tell me I did the right thing! I'm feeling a little remorse and need some support for my addiction right now:)

Hey FOBOS....

You would have been OK with the RC 5, BUT you made the RIGHT decision lol....Seriously, you will enjoy your Campanion and it will work hard for you and do it for your grand kids too......Check out my post in ko9's thread about how good a decision it was.....

Thank You very much for buying one of my knives.......

All Best...

Hello Mr. Becker and TKAZ. Thanks for responding to my post. I bought the BK2 and the BK9, I'm excited about using both here on the southern Oregon Coast. We have redwood and pine forests, so I should get some good camp, woods use in. I can't wait till the knives get here!

Take care.

Ya know what.... I couldn't take it either.....

so I just ordered a BK2 companion as well..... been itching to do it for awhile... this thread just inspired me to do it....:D

the BK2 is the most usefull knife i own and it along with the members on here inspired me to get my BK9. the 9 hasnt seen much use(the Campanion has been used and abused for 6 years now is as tough as it gets), but i feel they are a perfect combination.

the bk-2 is neck and neck with the rc-5 for me, once i got the micarta handles its 10x better. and still cheaper

Yes, I was thinking about those micarta scales as well. Seems like they will dress the BK2 up real well. Definitely going to look into a pair.

The BK-2/BK-9 combo covers everything! Add a Necker and you have the camp site covered ;)

I also like the green Micarta scales. The price really holds me back... I was thinking about picking up a pair of 3/8" thick Green Canvas Micarta slabs and trying to make my own pair.

Anyone done this??
