I put "customized" in quotations because I havent decided if its an improvement or not. It diffidently increases traction though. Let me know what you all think of it. I came up with the idea and was about 1/4 of the way done when I realized I was pretty much just copying Striders gunner grip. It sure isnt as pretty as Striders though. Someday I will come up with an original idea....

that looks awesome!!!, ive thought about stippling some of my plastic scaled folders as well using a soldering iron... this is a much more attractive way of doing it!!!

Nice! A definite improvement over the plain FRN.

Glad you guys approve . Ive only done that scale, my eyes were sore from focusing on the tip of the drill bit for so long trying to line up all the holes, haha. I'll get around to the other side eventually...

looks good to me! Strider's gunner grips are more polygonal type holes, like a honeycomb almost. Yours are perfectly round and it gives it a bit of a different look. The fact that there are some smaller holes in there makes for a nice effect as well

Oh interesting. I didnt know that about the gunner grips. I've never handled one before so I just assumed they were round from pictures. I guess I never really looked that closely.

Matt's a good guy. Before he got deep into making customs, he was giving his fizz treatment to knives like Sebenzas.

I met Matt back in 2000 when he was doing knife modding and working as an automotive tech. He lives in my city.
