I cut it !

The sale on the tusk that posted a photo of a few weeks back fell through so I decided to cut it.I have cut tens of thousands of pounds of ivory and never seen a piece this large quite this blue.I have been putting the sets up on eBay and they are going for around $100 per set.I am going to sell enough to pay for it and whats left I will save and maybe go to a few shows and get top doller for it.

Which ebay seller are you? I have never seen such stunning blue in ivory--wow! is the photo reasonably accurate as to color?
 
The colors are true.They are much better in real life there is a lot of depth with the different shades of blue with a light color underneath.It the best I have seen. I consider it gem quality.My user name is akivory.I will be putting more sets up tonight.

I can't find you on Ebay either. I have seached 'mammoth ivory', 'mammoth tusk', 'mammoth' and 'akivory'. What key word(s)should we seach on?

WOW is that pretty stuff. Wasn't completely sure about cutting it before but those came out beautifully. Too bad they're beyond anything I can afford making into knife right now. Gotta stick with cheaper stuff until I get better so it won't matter when I screw it up. :)
