Council Tool.

Although this turned out to be a less challenging one, as soon as I saw an axe ID thread with one reply by Steve Tall, I knew that it was probably answered before I clicked in. I hope that we never start taking you for granted!

If you pick it up, see if you can buy for less. It's hung upside.

I have its little brother.

Not sure of when these were made. Marked CT one side and the weight on the other.
Steel quality? US made?

U.S. manufacture and are currently still made there, and with that thick deep stamp. As to when this cryptic logo first appeared I have no idea. Cannot have been all that long ago because Kelly/Plumb/Collins are what you find when poking through antique and vintage products.

Thank ya boys! I thought it was a Council but wasnt to sure on that, Its worth picking up and adding to the collection! And Agent i was wandering the same thing.
