Before I get to the meaning of this post lets get a little back story.

I like most went through a short phase in the beginning of my knife collecting career where I consistently purchased low grade (cheap) knives until i was through with it and about 8 months ago I bought a... ZK Warsword.(Well you know what they say, hindsight 20-20:).A few months after that i decided Ka-Bar was my favorite brand so I bought my self a BK7 after hearing a lot of hype about the beckers online and in small friend groups and loved it!Thats when I cought one of the most debilitating sicknesses known to man, Becker Fever known to drastically decrease the size of your wallets and greatly increase chances of contracting Bladite-itis :) the second I took the paper slip off that BK7 I knew I would need more. Lets jump to last week when I ordered a BK9 from amazon. Now I amsitting on my couch rattling in my shoes waiting for the mailman to deliver that 9 inches of pure glory to my door.

Now to the true reason for this post.Waiting for my BK9 i have done a lot of thinking. Is there anything i should be prepared for? Issues, Suggestions Or even some good tips?

Thanks,

Sweet, every time I hold my BK9 I want to buy another so when I have extra cash, I'm gonna get another. Hopefully you don't feel the same way because these things aren't cheap...

Yes we need pics when you get it!, or it didnt happen...

Things to be prepared for/tips/hints?

Make sure you have prepared a meal for it of logs, branches, and shrubbery and it loves to go outside and cut stuff so make sure you take it on frequent outings.

The only issues is the desire to spend money on custom sheaths and scales and then start in on mods and get more knives and do more mods and so on.

The BK9 is a wicked chopper, but if that's all it did well I wouldn't like it as much. You'll likely be surprised at how well it does at many different things. If i were stranded and it was my only cutting tool I could make due quite well.

Well i will be sure too post pics probably tomorrow. I will to feed it a healthy diet of a wide range of north-western plant life, hopefully it doesn't become the reason for another endangered specie:p
