A shop near me had this for sale. I first saw it a couple months back and had to have it, so I went in today and purchased it. It's a beauty. Forgive my lack of photography skills. I should work on that as these pics don't do the knife justice.

Here's the description of the knife. The bit by Tim at the end is priceless.

"A beautiful piece from Tim Wright of Sedona, AZ... a handmade Asian Cook’s Knife with a 6” blade with a high-carbon W2 core wrapped in 4140 high strength aircraft steel. This carbon steel blade will gracefully turn grey with age and will show a lamination line with use. The handle is Fiddle Back Maple with Copper/Sterling Mokume Gane trim made by master smith Phil Baldwin. You may be tempted to keep this knife as a collectors piece but it is meant to be used and enjoyed.

Hand washing recommended (NOT dishwasher safe). Note from the knife maker: “Please inform anyone purchasing this knife that if I find out that they have ever left it in water overnight... their days are numbered!”..."

helluva score

That's fine !
Nice and unique combo of components as well.
Congrats and enjoy !

Thanks for looking. I fear this is a large step into another level of knife appreciation. It's an honor to own one of Tim's knives and much to the chagrin of my wallet, I look forward to purchasing (and using ;) )
knives by some of the very talented makers of this site. I am in awe of you all. Functional art. I love it.

I knew I should have gotten up to Corrado and checked that out......................

Oh well, I'm sure you'll give it a good home. I'm at the point with Tim's kitchen cutlery of having to replace a paring knife which has simply worn itself down to a nub but all the others are going strong. If you wanna "GREAT" kitchen knife you might like one of Tim's AEBL serrated bread knives as your next one..............

Awesome Score
What a wonderful knife
Much Respect.

Gorgeous knife. I'd love to see it with a naturally developed patina. Do some follow up shots a few years from now.
