I finally convinced my paretns to let me get a Dremel tool. They went to Sears today to buy the Craftsman version, but they were out, so the salesman let them buy the real Dremel kit w/flexshaft and 72 accessories for $70, the same price as the Craftsman on sale. I can't wait to go home on break next friday. New Dremel tool, 2 knife kits...it's going to be like Christmas!!

Taz--Many men never find a vocation or even a hobby that fills them with the enthusiasm you show for knife making. Hope you follow your heart and never lose that excitement. With that kind of fire in your belly, I'm betting you become one of the best we've ever seen.

Well, I got a big belly to hold all of the fire. I will start with kits and then procede as I gewt the knowledge, money and equipment.

Sounds great. I guess craftsmen contracts their moto tool out to dremel to make, so you basically were getting the same tool either way. The dremel is probably a little better though. Thats cool that you got that good of a price.I paid 50 for my ryobi along with a case and 100 accessories. But a flex shaft would have been another $25 to $30, and thats not even a big name brand. At least it wasn't then.
