I did it after lurking and posting for a while I finally took the plunge and bought a Gold Membership.:D

Hopefully some more people will do the same and ease the traffic problem, by allowing Spark the $ to upgrade.

My wife is gonna kill me, " you spent $30 on what?, a computer knife forum?

Oh well maybe it's tax deductable!
:D

I look at it as an interactive magazine subscription. I've saved hundreds of dollars off retail buying knives from other forumites (on knives I would never have bought if I weren't here!)

Thanks for chipping in!

I did it earlier today. I get a lot out of BFC and Spark is first class, so it was a no-brainer.

I think it was well worth it. I only wish that I had found Bladeforums a couple of years sooner.

I've been living without internet for some months now while moving from the East to the West. But I recently got settled and got an ISP out here earlier this week. Recent threads on this topic this week reminded me that signing up for a BFC membership was the right thing to do.

Although I'm still looking for work out here, I calculated that the cost of the membership was about the same as 7 square inches of real estate here in the bay area. I guess my new house will just have to be a tad smaller than I hoped...

Paracelsus, no longer a no good freeloading bastid :)

Dont think of it like a internet forum, think of it like buying a years subscription to a great knife magazine that you get to ask the publishers questions and have it printed and add some of your own imput into!

Signed up today! I actually tried a couple of months ago, but my CC was declined. Over the limit, and unfortunately not from knife purchases. Hopefully it will go through this time:D
