i'm so happy, i just made my first sheath :D

i'm not posting any pics of it, though. i haven't done the finish sanding on the edges and still plan on trimming it down a tad. plus, it's my first one, so it's not the greatest. i'll post some pics of the ones i do a few more down the line :)

this all started because i don't like the way the belt loops are mounted on most sheaths. i came up with an off the wall idea for an integral loop and started buying supplies. i don't know where it's all gonna end because - while i was buying plywood to make my press, the salesman told me to give him a card once i get going, that he might need me to make him something

my next creation is a horizontal carry for a buddy of mine. once again, it's gonna be different than all the available ones i've seen.

Congrats on completing your first sheath!

C'mon, just for fun you gotta post a picture though. It can't be THAT bad. If it makes you feel any better, here is a picture of my first sheath (:barf:):

Theres a very good feeling of accomplishment in making that first sheath isnt there, congrats! :)

Congrats on taking that first big step!! Each sheath you do is a learning experience - you're already thinking on improvements. Way to go!

Congrats!

Once you get over the intimidation of the first one, it's really a lot of fun. You'll likely progress by leaps and bounds with your next few you make...
