I finally pulled the trigger and bought myself an SFNO!

Saber cut
Double cut (just like that better than the colored coating)
Black canvas mags (hand shaped)

I'm very pleased.

Pictures will be posted when it arrives! Thanks for all your input guys... Well except for the Zardoz posts:D... But other than that you guys really helped me a lot!

Now... Should I get a leather sheath or a kydex one....

How do you intend to use the SFNO?

In a blade that size, I'd go with kydex. It allows you to wash out the sheath and offers numerous ways to attach to a pack or chest-rig if you aren't going to belt carry it all the time.

Congratulations. Good choice.
If this is your first Busse, you can prepare to kiss yer wallet goodby and smile. You will have lots more cool knives before long.

Congrats on the SFNO. I love this knife! Concerning the sheath I always ask myself the same question. My heart says leather, my brain says kydex... usually my heart wins :)

Same here, kydex usually makes more sense and is usually cheaper, but a nice leather sheath on a SFNO is just a beautiful pair..
I am waiting for my leather sheath for my SFNO LE.. will post some pics when they arrive

I'm going to get an Okuden kydex sheath. But I also want to get a leather one too. I'm not too crazy about the whole dangly swing sheath with the leg strap thing. What style of sheath do you guys suggest? And what maker?

I would go with a leather sheath if you don't plan on using it. Kydex can put small scratches and defects on the balde of course it would not matter if this is going to be a user.

Oh it's definitely going to be a user. Aaaaabsolutely. All of my knives (except those I have inherited) are intended for use. I can see though certain instances where one type of sheath might make make it more... acceptable to the rest of the folks. For example, when I take my kids out on a hiking and camping trip with the scouts, a leather sheath might be more socially acceptable in that setting.

I'm thinking back on my experiences as a scout back in the day. Oddly enough, sheath knives were frowned upon... Almost forbidden. We were encouraged to use axes and hatchets, but no sheath knives. I showed up one day for a camping trip with a sheath knife that my Dad had bought for me while overseas. The scoutmaster initially balked at my carrying the knife, but relented when my parents stated that I had their permission to do so. After that, nobody gave me a hard time. To be sure, this knife looked nothing like the SFNO.

Hey Kamp...congratulations for your new knife....it is a beast...for you sheath...I would recommend leatherman, All the sheaths for my busse knives have been made by him. Kydex is a good option but I concur with over kill, you might get some scratches on your knife and it is not the most comfortable option (personal opinion). Chuddybear make good sheaths as well, but I haven't had the chance to get one of those so I can't make any comments.

Beautiful looking sheath... But I'm wondering how well it would work while wearing a backpack (one with a load bearing belt). And how comfortable is it?
