I did some drinkin last night.

So me and my better half did some Xmas shopping then had dinner at a local brewery. Started with 2 nice hoppy beers. Headed home and hit the Chardonnay. We played some cribbage then watched the Bruins get killed. Drinking wine all the while. I got up this morning and checked my email. Turns out I ordered an Anniversary Straight Handle Battle Mistress Limited Edition with black and yellow G10! :facepalm No recollection of doing this. I panicked a little bit, being the holiday season and all. I really didn't need to drop that much cash. Then i said screw it, merry Xmas to me. Lesson? I didn't learn a thing

yeah, that's a good story, stick to it. I think I'll order something from the custom shop and convince Voracious that HE ordered it for me. LOL

Hopefully you have a knife or two you can sell to fund it, then, by the time it is ready to pay for, you just tell your wife you sold some other knives to fund it.

I have never drunk bought anything, but I have jumped on a steal of a deal on the exchange and then sold another knife later to replace the funds.

Straight handle battle mistress is a great "drunk buy" though, for sure.

I would have done tan canvas, but I am a drab person.

This seems to happen to me a lot. The first knife I ordered from Busse, (I think I was sober) but by the time it arrived I had bought 7 off the exchange. Knives were just showing up at my door. It was a beautiful thing.
