how do the infraction points system work? I do apologize for swearing, I guess I forgot i wasn't supposed to or realized i was in the non-swearing community place...

I don't want to get banned for one seven letter word but I have no clue how this points system works...:o
 
I dropped an F-bomb and got a PM from Code3 saying I had one infraction point...like how many of these points do i get before i'm actually in trouble...

I heard that they first have to legally change your avatar to a picture of Zidane :D

A moderator / administrator has the option to flag any of your posts for bad conduct. (see pic below)

Once flagged, they have the option to warn or penalise you, depending on what you've done. The default expiration is 10 days. If you click on the card at the bottom of your post, you will see how many points and for how long you are penalised. (see pic below)

Interesting...I "posted in wrong forum" and I got a point till next year.

Do you only see the card icon if you actually have points, or is it supposed to be there at all times? I see NOTHING!!!! :D
 
If you get an infraction you will receive a Private Message about it, even if you are a lowly Registered User and can't normally receive Private Messages.
 
Could be interesting if it was little red chiclets under the avatar for everyone to see. It would be similar to branding on the forehead.
