L6 Curly Maple Hunter

Specs are;

Blade; L-6 steel with a hand rubbed 320 grit finish, flat ground to a
convexed edge 5 inches long, 1 1/4 inches at chiol, 3/16ths
thick with a 2 1/2 inch swedge.

Handle; Curly Maple with a oil finish, butt has been file worked with
a domed brass pin.

Guard; 3/8 ths brass with black fiber spacer.

OAL; 9 3/4 inches

Sheath; 8/9 oz leather holster type with lacing and a tin cone.

That last pic is too cool. :) Knives and sheaths all look very nice indeed. If a guy had three sons, his Christmas shopping would be done early.

Those knives look fantastic, as do the sheaths, but what is a tirplet, and why did you do them?

Thanks keith, A Tirplet is what you get when you are a two finger pecker and your er gets ahead of your peck, either that or I jest can't spel.

I made them because I wanted to make a pay back knife for a freind that helped me out a lot when I was working on the house. He's a woodworker and likes antiques and old tools so I thought this pattern and materials would appeal to him nicely. I liked the combo enough that I made 2 more since I was at it.
