I didn’t like the color of my Bugout so I decided to change it. Read about how a few people did this and saw that one guy just added a little water to black Rit Dye to get a darkish blue. I’ve never taken it apart and I was kind of worried about the springs so I just did one side at a time and hoped they would match. I figured if they didn’t I would just dye them black. They turned out pretty nice, a little darker than I wanted just like I’ve heard others say.
After it started to simmer I put one in and immediately it started getting dark but had a hard time getting it out with the coat hanger I was using. The other one matched pretty good. I’ll post pics if I can figure it out.
Btw, I dropped it on asphalt 30 mins after and barely could see the slightest nick in the corner. Wouldn’t notice if I didn’t know.
Ok call me a moron I’m not seeing how to add pics.
