but my older sister had told me that she wanted a folding knife like mine (I'm carrying a CRKT KFF at the time), so because I'm a bit on budget, I got her the Falcon. She loved it.
Thought I have somewhat of a knifenut in my house with me ;)

She sounds somewhat like my older sister, which is a good thing. Often when my sister comes to visit, she asks me to clean, oil and sharpen her knives, which I am happy to do. Her blades of choice are usually a combination of large and small Victorinox SAK's that she carries and uses frequently.

Oh...she and her husband also carry Photon microlights (a Christmas present from me). I'm glad you and your sister seem to get along well and you're spreading the diseas....er,....joy of cutlery.

I think Dave is right this thing we have IS a disease and it IS infectious. How else can we explain that people we come into close contact with who have never carried a knife, never had the desire to carry a knife, can't imagine why anyone would carry a knife start taking an interest. Like any disease the symptons are mild first: a Victorinox classic on the keychain, a cheap folder for doing 'odd jobs'. Then the disease takes hold: they begin asking of the merits of Benchmades over Spydercos, they set foot inside a gun/knife shop, they start buying knives - because they are knives! Finally the disease takes thhem over, this is the final stage, treatment is too late and the only way to keep the disease under control is to keep feeding the addiction: more knives!!! If the victim is lucky they will find their way here - a kind of AA for knife knuts :) :) :)

An AA for knife knuts huh? If AA worked the way BladeForums does, everyone of it's members would be drinking more and more of better and better booze.

Thats good news!
Now that your sister appreciates quality knives perhaps you can expect to receive one on your birthday or for Christmas, etc.
What goes around, comes around.

Oh yeah... and my birthday is end of july ;)
Hopefully I'll get something real nice.
