Well, I picked up a Norton Pike combo stone last week. Coarse and fine silicarbide, cuts cleanly.
My Case 6.5375CV was dull, so I figured this is a golden opportunity to try it out. Raise burr on mark side, raise burr pile side, polish on fine, strop gently on black compound.
Shaves.
Roughly 120 grit, followed with 250, and it shaves. Never done that before.
I think I have a new favorite stone!
