The motor for hammer and grinder; along with the blower for forge showed up.

All I can say is holy crap

Look at the difference between the 5 KW severe duty G.E motor (80+) lbs, and the piece decrape hecho in mehico 2hp motor (34 lbs).

That would look like putting a 350 in a VW putting the big one on my KMG :D

The hammer will ROCK !

I think I'd better up my life and accident insurance.

I'm a happy Man.

Mark.....Judging by the photos, I don't think those will work. Your best bet is to ship them to me and do more a sincere research on the proper electro-power-transfer mechanisms that may be available and suited for your intended purposes. Although they seem a might small, they may work to power my bathroom exhaust fans. (Of course I will pay the shipping provided it not over $14.95  )

On a slightly more serious side..............Post some photos when you get everything up and running. Congratttttttts !

Yes, and I'm betting you made that brown uniformed guy feel good too! Everyone wants to be a hero. ;) Good job Mark, let's see that bad boy run...

you'll poke your eye out Mark  :D :D

oh yes. don't drop the motor on you're foot it will tie up you're hands for
at least a few min's rendering them useless for turning wrenches, there for you will be longer posting the pictures than need be. now you know that will ....
did I mention nice motor/s.. :D I don't hear any banging yet ,,
lets go mark. :D

Man your shop is dirty-and yet still twice as clean as mine. Think Ill spend part of tomarrow cleaning since now I know what a real knife makers shop looks like! :D

Yeah I love that brown truck too. He don't love me though, 'cuz usually everything I buy weighs a ton. Last night he delivered my 1095 stock. I could hardly lift it myself. He was whining because he had to duct tape the carboard container to the shelf to keep it from rolling off!

Yeah man, post some pics of that beast when you get it going!

It's probably going to take a little while to get the electrical set up. I have to do quite a bit to get'er done.

The guy doing the delivery was cool as heck. he knocked out front and said 'I know you dont want me to drop this right here, do ya? Had him wheel it to the shop. he even picked the stuff up and brought it in. The look on his face was priceless when he saw the shop.
He wanted to ask , but I would imagine they have rules against it. I went ahead and offered up an explaination.

I'm really impressed with the G.E. motor. I think this model would be a viable replacement for the older motors on power hammers. I laughed out loud when I opened the box. It's friggin HUGE.

I've got a lot of work to do. :) I love this **** :)

Good deal Mark :D I also love that brown truck. He was here yesterday delivering some goodies. Hope you have fun with your new toys.

So is it working yet??????????
Nice looking motor.
Did you try the new blower yet?
I ordered the damascus today. Can't wait. He said it would be out in a week or so.

I'm going to start with getting the blower hooked up and tested today. I need to pick up a gate valve for it. As cool as the brner runs. PVC should be fine.

Then I'll get the grinder hooked up. Then in my spare time I'll change the motor setup on the power hammer. This will all take place with going to work and some occcasional shuteye

Which mix did you get on the billet the 5160/A203E ?
