I don' know why

I dont understand. Why would someone do this ?

I have come to realize that the world is full of weird people. I'm probably one of them.

ah, so the numa numa dance has made its way to the cantina;) This thing has been getting a lot attention on the net for the last couple of months...even some media coverage. it's even been spoofed on serveral occations. Webcams have given even the most unskilled of us an outlet to strut our stuff for the masses. The numa numa dance song (whatever it really is called) would have never reached the shores of the US on it's own since it isn't in english...remember that 99 red balloons song from the early 80's?
At anyrate, portly nerdy kid mouthing words we don't understand and making faces into the webcam will almost always equal comic gold;)

NUMA? National Underwater Marine Agency?

It's amazing what some people do when they're bored.

I thought Star Wars kid was gonna hit the camera. :p

If that's the rebellion's last hope, we're screwed. :footinmou

I think that is a very healthy thing for our society. A healthy, dynamic democracy is the only hope for freedom.
I live in a place that claims to have a democracy, but the people themselves dont understand it and when you start asking them questions, they dont agree with it and dont really want it. They dont argue, they dont discuss unpleasant things. They are not dynamic, they are not open to change nor tolerant of diversity.

Before the internet, what chances would the average man or woman have to get onto TV? to get on TV or the web and say what you want and to show what you can do to all those millions of people?

Next to nil, (unless you happened to be a big, powerful someone's nephew.)
In the end, what you see is the purest thing in the Universe: Joy.
He likes that damned song.
We got to watch it, to sample it, like vampires.
Same thing goes for the star wars kid.
I thank God I got to see ....

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to DannyinJapan again.

Well said:) One of my favorite things to do is surf the web and look at all the stuff the avarge joe puts out there. Cartoons, movies, songs, etc. That's all i do in the winter when business is slow. The internet is a double edged sword though. For every Numa Numa Dance kid, who did it as a joke and even got on Good Morning America's water cooler section, there is a Star Wars Kid. i had no idea that poor kid was having such a tough time.
Like the internet, science fiction is the ultimate outlet to those in society where being over weight, or nerdy, or awkward do not apply. That's why Star Wars is so universally loved. The TV doesn't show it, but the worlds nerds far out number the beautiful people. The Force is the trump card to outward appearance. It's enveloping and fantasy becomes escapism to those that feel so out of place in society that they would rather lose themselves in sci-fi than deal with those that refuse to accept them. It's both very brave and very sad. Very brave in the fact that the unity they share and veracity in which they defend their beliefs is shockingly powerful, yet sad that they have to find fight for far outside of reality; that they are so driven away by hurtful people that the only thing that they feel they have left is the Star Wars universe. I feel really bad that the tape of the Star Wars kid was leaked to the net.
All that aside, most of the stuff you find on the net is pretty freakin' funny. I've got pages and pages of dumb junk to share.
