I like the hex bolts on the Ash-1.....particularly if you can unscrew them and remove the grips and can torque them up good and tight once you have cleaned the knife.

If you use them for what they are meant for....stripping the grips and boiling them out is sensible . Especially with homeland security going through your case if returning home from the Box...having a combat knife with Heinz 57 DNA varieties on it would be a "loooong" hold up on your connections....LOL...

Hell a good hunting trip to Africa could have those "spray and hold it under the ulra violet" merchants running to change their underwear.....
