Far be it from me to disparage this sort of feeding frenzy; I just don't understand it. I saw it coming, of course; I have seen three of them go like this. I guess it is a function of how much disposable money you have. It is certainly relative. Anyway, it is a production plastic handled knife. Rare? Yes. Odd? Yes. High craftsmanship and artistic ability combined with superior and beautiful materials? No. I would like to have one if I could have gotten one earlier for $30 or so, because it is kinda cute. I bought a CASE 2001 Bose collaboration knife yesterday for $205 postage paid. It is awesome, and it has everything that this little fellow does not, and I love Schrades.

Great minds think alike. I, for one, don't have that much disposable income!

Insane. Insane price to pay for a relatively recent, production knife of ordinary quality. This out of whack market value of Schrades cannot last long.

Yep, and I wouldn't buy gold at $800 because that was insane. We need a kicking yourself emoticon!

An unusual model Uncle Henry, in NIB condition... I would have estimated the value at ~$100.

But you know how it goes when there's a limited supply of something. How many Uncle Henry collectors 'need' one of these for their collections? I bet it far more than the number available for sale today on eBay.
