If I miss anyone email or don't answer right away, it is because I don't have a staff in America. I run HI all by myself, including packing & shipping, keeping the
Kamis busy in Nepal and making sure they have the
materials they need to fill your orders.

When Uncle Bill was with me, we shared the daily
tasks involved in running our international business.
Now it is just me.

Everybody on the forum is special to me and I
apologize if I missed an email.
 
No biggie.

You do a great job, I've always been impressed that you always have gotten back to me faster than companies that DO have a staff!

I'm sure the "old timers" and most of the "new" people already were aware of this, but it is good you posted this Yangdu, so that people will know the need for patience and understanding.

Yangdu is a very busy woman, tending to the needs of The Kami's and the business in general, tending to H.I's customer base with emails, phone calls, stock, sales,shipping warrantee issues and a myriad of other things that come up. As one woman there is only so much time to devote to this and still keep her sanity. It is a fine balance between all these things and having a personal life.
Rest assured that she does the best that she is able to do for each and every one of us.

Although Yangdu loves to speak with her customers by phone, this option may not always be available or prudent. Uncle Bill used to get Phone calls at all hours of the day and night, which would often disturb his sleep/personal time. I would be surprised if this has changed. It would probably be advisable to keep your calling between normal business hours (ie; 9am-5pm Reno time) for her sake.

Emails are the best option. Just be aware that due to the volume of emails she likely gets,that a timely response may not always be possible. In Addition some may not be recieved or may get lost in the stack of them she gets. Again she does the best that she can for us and needs our understanding on these issues. So please be patient.

I, for one, applaud her on her ability to provide such outstanding service day in and day out for all these years.
 
*I* don't have a staff, either, and I get a lot less done! I don't think I'm in any position to complain, and certainly no one owes me an apology.
 
Today was my first time coresponding w/ Yangdu and I am still speechless over how quickly she responded!
 
Yangdu you always give such great and delightful service. I know that you are busy and from my experience you are far quicker at getting back to us by email than most any company I've seen.
 
Yangdu, your service is excellent and your responses to my e-mails have been very prompt. Also, I would like to note that you provide the best Kukris on the planet, so any patience that might be required of us is well worth it.

I always kind of assumed you did have a couple helpers because of how quickly you respond to emails and get things shipped out and in general take care of your customers. I have even more admiration and respect for you now.
 
I've said it before and I'll say it again, THE LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE YANGDU PROVIDES IS SECOND TO NONE. She does a phenomenal job, and has NO reason to apologize to anyone.
 
I have never gotten anything online in the mail within 3 days, ever......except for these HI blades, so Thank you for everything Yangdu.
 
Not to sound like everyone else, but you provide excellent customer service and correspondence... it gives Himalayan Imports an almost warm and personal feel... this sort of honest and friendly business that gives the customers excellent goods at excellent prices for an excellent cause... this is rare, and I hope we all appreciate it. :thumbup:
 
I have never been anything but delighted with your speed and service Aunt Yangdu. I don't know who you might be apologizing to, but I'm thinking perhaps we might all need to apologize for taking you for granted. :o

I think I speak for everyone here when I say: If there is anything we can do to make your life easier, please let us know. Whether it be calling during certain hours or formatting our written correspondence a certain way, I am sure we would all be more than happy to oblige, and (as usual) we will do our collective part to "orient" the new guys. :)

Seriously- Yangdu- if we can help you help us in any way PLEASE do not hesitate to ask. :thumbup:
 
Yangdu, you are a phenomenon and an inspiration. I run two offices with a staff of 4 plus a service tech, and I probably miss 4 or 5 calls/emails a day. Do what you can. Do what you must. However, don't run yourself into the ground over doing it. Your customers understand:thumbup:
 
Aunty Yangdu, no need for apologies or explanations. As everyone else has stated, your service and communication are exceptional and although I have only purchased six khukuris from you (so far :D), each transaction has exemplified top notch customer service, quick and thorough communication and super fast delivery. All my orders have been boxed up and sent out the SAME DAY and have arrived in 2 days from Vegas to South Florida!

Also, like some of the others, I just assumed you at least had someone helping you in your "shipping department", so I am even more impressed with how much you are able to get done all by yourself!
