This is my latest knife. It is made from 3/16" O-1 HT'd to 59 RC with Black&Green Linnen Micarta scales and stainless hardware. Dimensions are as follows 4" edge with a OAL of 9"

I wanted to get some feedback to see if this knife looks as though it would be marketable. I haven't made a sheath for it yet, but it will be a leather pouch sheath treated in bees wax.

I thought I would try a bit of a different handle design. And it really feels comfortable. I would love to hear some comments good or bad.

Thanks for looking
Nick:)

Whatever you name it you can call it sold once it's offered up to the public. A true beauty.

Solid design! I think the handle design looks great. It looks like it may fit the curvature of the hand pretty comfortably. You should experiment with that style of handle design more. Great work!

I like your design's ! I have been waiting for you to post something on the for sale forum.

That's one of the nicest knives you have ever made, in my eyes  Great new handle shape on that one, full marks 10/10

Wait until Mick57 sees that?

Nice knife, handle especially. Simple and sleek. Any idea what you would/are going to let it go for?

Work Horse or All You Need I think there may be others that spoke first but I would purchase this knife.

A really nice looking, functional knife? On Bladeforums? Nah. That'll never sell.

Thanks for the positive replys fellas. I like the names you guys have posted, it can be quite tough to come up with a name for a knife, ( at least for me) My brother wants me to call it the "Scout" I don't think my wife would let me call it the "Hard 9" I really like that one though, I wish eh.........
I was thinking of putting it up for something like $140.00 or $150.00. Pricing my knives has always given me trouble. I try and shoot for a reasonable price, so please feel free to give me some feedback on that too.

Thanks again
Nick:)

I bet it won't last long at that price. It sounds reasonable to me. Nick, I was just curious, do you offer these knives in any other steel? And if so, what other types? Thanks.

Hi Knifeman, The steels I have on hand are A-2, 440-C, and of course O-1. I am also willing to try other steels as well. What type of steel are you looking for? I am open for suggestions.

Thanks
Nick

To be honest I have never had an O-1 knife. But I have heard good things about it. I like A-2, D-2, and 5160 for the non-stainless steels. I like your knives, it's only a matter of time before I get one.

I don't know what to name it

Nick .. the knife .. it looks so cool .. the moment I saw it's photo .. it reminds me of a high tide at a sea shore .. it will come and it will go in a very cool and certain way of nature!

Thanks to show it to us ..

It looks like a winner to me. I noticed that you've got a new maker's mark. That looks good too.

I was thinking of the name Sidekick, just because it looks like a knife you want with all the time. It sure does look good.

That's another GREAT one Nick. Also like your new maker/mark.

I understand the hard part about pricing. You don't want to undervalue your knives or some people won't think they're worth it, on the flip-side some people simply can't afford a $300+ custom knife as a user. I think you're doing well f/a consumer standpoint in the $100-$180 range (not saying your knives are not worth more... ) It's just that as an upper middle income 30-something w/a few kids and wife... I just can't readily spend much more than $200 on 'toys' all that often. It's easier to get away w/dropping $150 on a great little user knife than it is $350.

Keep up the great work. I'm still REALLY glad I had you make me one of your EDC's a while back. :)

Nice looking knife Nick: and I like that new maker mark. Would also look great in Stag, or some jig bone. Good job on the temper line. Pins are set good to. A+-----------

Thanks guys, My buddy made me the new stamp and I really like it as well. I would like to add Michigan to it though, or just MI.

Eric, I agree 100% with what you said there. I am in that same boat with a family, and still trying to find ways to purchase toys.

Terry, I wish I could stomach through some stag grinding, but I can't, the last time I tried I got pretty darn sick. Maybe it is just the Elk antler I was using but boy did that stuff STINK:barf:
