I don't think any of us will have this problem eh !

I've actually seen that happen. I just can't fathom how someone wouldn't have a sharp knife somewhere in his house.

See! Cheap stainless steel can throw sparks (1:29). You just need a piece of granite counter top to strike :p.

Those were some spectacular sparks too!

Lucky he did not hurt himself doing that bit.

I hate stupid bits that are only funny because they're stupid. He's standing in a kitchen which means that the blister pack would have been opened in seconds with that knife. Or a pair of scissors that almost everyone has in their kitchen. I watch slapstick and just scratch my head wondering why anyone thinks it's funny.

As to the point, I'm the go-to person at Christmas time. :D

I think it is funny because it demonstrates (through gross exaggeration) how many of us have been thoroughly frustrated at some point with blister packs.

Went on a cruise ship recently and faced several challenges due to being knife-less. I can relate to being frustrated enough to smash the failed project on the floor like he did.

Oh I see the point I just don't get how it's funny. But, there's a reason monty python and the 3 stooges are popular. Takes all kinds.

I think it's funny, although only because I carry a knife and could have it open faster.

Yeah well it's not like I'm gasping for air while holding my stomach rolling on the floor laughing;)

I try and find humor in things...otherwise life gets pretty sad.

Reminds me of a LED flashlight I once bought. I didn't realize it came with a nylon holster tucked between some cardboard. Well, when I sliced open the clamshell, I cut right through the cardboard and the holster. I hate those packages.

I flew one time with only carry on luggage and when I landed I went to Target and got a SAK Soldier in the clamshell. It took me forever to get it out and the whole time I was thinking what a strange situation it was. If I was home, I would have a knife to open the package, but I also probably wouldn't have bought the knife so I wouldn't have needed a knife.

As much as I like knives, some clamshell is really thick, dense and curved - hard to cut and control.

I like tinsnips with the serrated teeth for those.

Or the bandsaw for when you have to step it up a notch.
