over the easter holidays .I went on a camping trip to a place called edal in the UK .I was digging out a pit for a fire .when I came across this it was covered in rust .I have soaked it oil and cleaned it up .but it still needs some work .the markings on the blade are pretty much worn away .what I can make out is c.amiggits then an other word I can't make out .then the last word is AM...USN. if any body could fill in the gaps that would be great .I apologise for the quality of the PIC its done on my mobile/cell phone .:)

Great find. Looks like Camillus easy open knife, maybe military issue ca. WWII, but many brands had similar model.

Definitely need more pics and a close up of the tang markings.

Great find, looks really nice I love the old bone jogging, it always looks so warm. Just curious, how are the backsliding, are they weak, is the blade action smooth?

Unfortunately I have darkened the bone with the oil dunking .surprisingly its quit smooth and still as a good clik to it .,I only have my mobile phone camera for the next couple of days .when I get my main camera back I will do some better pics .and thanks for all the good feed back :)

Looks like it was somebody's trusty companion for a long time before it got lost. Great find.
