I recently purchased a Kershaw Packrat and a Kershaw Blur. I'm liking the Blur, no problems with it at all. But my Kershaw Packrat 1665CST I'm having trouble deploying the blade. I don't see any safety on it or in any review videos. Yet I'm pulling on the blade, pushing on the flipper and I can't get it to even move a little bit. Does anybody know what could be keeping it shut?

ummmm......tightend down pivot? rust? i dont know what to say but to open it:)
your situation seams impossible

Not sure why you posted this in the Automatics forum, General might have been better or even better the Kershaw/ZT forum.

At any rate, only thing I can think of is the pivot is too tight. Try backing off on it a little bit and see if that helps.

I thought an assisted open switchblade would fit here.

I think the pivot has been over tightened. I'll have to get the right tool to loosen it.

Assisted openers are not switchblades. The difference may seem minor, but it is the difference between being legal or maybe a felony arrest.

True in the USA, but not in many other countries. Still the point is correct that assisted openers are not automatics and you'll likely get better answers from the general or kershaw forums.

That's OK, I'll move this to Kershaw / ZT, and I'm sure they can help.
I suggest a drop of oil around the pivot before you start, also.
