I feel like a crackhead!!!!!!!!!!!

I know exactly how you feel. Each time I unbox the latest sharp and shiny thing, after the joy of the new thing wears off, I tell myself that this will be the last one... that is until I see another lovely sharp and shiny thing that catches my eye... it just never ends!

I cant syop buying knives. HELP! Every one I get is better than the one before it.

Welcome to my life. I just went from lots of high end factory knives ($100-$200, say) to my first Sebenza. Do I need like 25 knives? No. Did I want them. Oh, yes. Did I want that Sebenza? More than the first cigarette of the morning.

My wife says that by November I'll be craving a one-off or super limited custom. Probably true.

My name is Rider - and I'm a knife-o-holic.

Hehe, almost all the knives I bought, I bought while I was posting at this site... then for some reason I stopped posting, and stopped buying knives...

The conclusion is clear... bladeforums.com hurts your bank account!

You know its trouble when you spend half your time making excuses to the GF/wife as to why you need another knife and the other half of your time convincing yourself that you need another one.

There's always a reason....

I feel for ya, bought two in the last two days. (BTW Spyderco Moran, everyone needs one!!! lol) BUT......that'll likely finish it up for the summer.

I hope.

I pray.

I hear voices in my head  Just got a Spyderco Salt 1 today. Now the voices are telling me to buy the Tasman. I wish the voices would give me the cash.

I dont think investing in a tool (which is basically what a knife is) is bad because it will always be useful. As far as high end customs go, they are an investment as well, if they increase in value that is.

What suprised me was the quality of some of these knives! Previously my top two knives were a Puma stag hunter and a Spyderco Police, I was never a collector, but the police was light years above what I was used to in knives, mainly due to the VG-10. But now, a MT Ultratech, Socom auto, Benchmade Presidio fixed, Spyderco Para-military, among others later, I am blown away by the quality and design on these babys.

The Socom auto just floored me due to its awesome handle design, light weight, great auto action and hair shaving sharpness (I never had a knife that could literally shave my arm), and the para-milly, my first knife with S30v is impressive as hell too, super light, feels great in the hand, and cuts super fine!

I mean sure I could have got a couple decent handguns in what ive spent in knives recently, but short of the range and a home invasion it wont get any use. My knives, on the other hand, get used and carried daily.

The voices are telling me to get a CS Trail Master right about now... must... be... strong...

Knives are better than 'crack' because you can get high on them one day and then get them out of the drawer a year later and get high again!!!

Welcome to my world.I just bought three yesterday & already had two on their way in the mail.So I got five coming:oIt'll get easier as your bank acct. dwindles;):D;):D

oops wrong place.

I too have your addiction. Grails become better all the time. Next up is....

Problem is you can't really try before you buy so you end up buying knives and if they aren't what you thought they would be; you sell them off too.
