Now I know what you real knifemakers feel like. Last night I was working hard to finish a few blades to take to the Pasadena show today. While I'm not exhibiting or trying to sell anything, I was under a lot of self induced pressure to finish five knives to show to my mentor Steve Ryan and a few guys from the forums. While cursing the fact that I was a lot further behind than I wanted to be and trying hard not to screw anything up, the VFD on my variable speed KMG blew up in a big flash of light with a bang!!! FARG! Just when I needed it most! Arrrggghhhh!
Thankfully, I have a second KMG and was able to get most of the work done, sort of. The knives are full of flaws and there's no kydex done for them, but it's show time!
Pics to follow later.
