After making a hatchet handle a few weeks ago I decided to make a few axe handles and another hatchet handle. The axe handles are made of red oak and hatchet is dogwood since that was the only dry wood I had on hand. These are octagon which I can always round off later, but I like the way they feel. Hope to put heads on them soon.

Nice! Don't obliterate or round-over the octagons. More wood left and a better grip! Also shows that these didn't come off a (revolving) copy lathe.
