When I joined this forum I couldn't understand why some people had so many knives and spent so much for some of them. After getting my SAK Mountaineer today; I'm finally understand why.
I have the following SAKs
Large and small blade only - EDC on key chain
Large blade only, sissors, and nail file for travel to civilized places
Mountaineer for hiking and camping
Knives I don't use that much if at all
SAK Camping model - a bit too many tools for my use
Buck Whittaker - I thought I would like the larger blade and it was like a SAK
Kershaw Junkyard dog - I thought I would like the larger blade and simple aspect of it - I just don't carry it
All are in great shape.
So for now the Mountaineer is my favorite knife - it is a handful.
I like the large parcially serrated blade, I think they could have slipped a small blade and posibly a sissor in there without making it any bigger.
When they do'; that might be my next knife!
