I finally broke it!!! CRKT brokem liner!!

I did it!! I broke a knife, in the strangest place, the liner lock broke off! Right at the joint where it meets the rest of the liner. I have no idea how it happened! But it did. Has anyone ever heard of this happening?? I will keep you all posted as to what CRKT does about it(if anything) and how soon.

P.S I have not EVER used the knife in the wrong manner, it has NEVER done anything it should not have.

It was an Apache II, I have no idea what the steel is. It just snapped when I tried to close it!!

I broke a CRKT KISS where the frame-lock is hollowed out, enabling it to bend. I returned it to CRKT in December, as the mad Christmas mail rush was on, and got a replacement back about three weeks later. Excellent Customer Service. Couldn't be happier with CRKT.

PS - Wharncliffe Mirage is one of the best daily-use blades I own. This knife is a real bargain, even in Canada.
