FINALLY........!!! I have owned 33 Sebenzas over the years ( this will be #34 ), but all have been Plain or CGG/UG. I have never had an Annual ( Which I SO desire ) or a 21 Sebenza in either large or small with an inlay. Well this morning, I finally pulled the trigger and have one inbound. I was torn between a large and small, but I had $42 free credit, so I ended up getting the large for $15 more than the small costs. A lot more knife for the $$.

I will post pics when she arrives.

Finally arrived after some drama, ( see other posts ). This is my first Inlay Sebenza. I have always been a CGG/UG guy, but I must say, I love the feel of the Inlays, which probably isnt a good thing for me because I will and do want more of em.....lol. I have never been a fan of the 21 blade, but I was definitely willing to overlook it when getting this one. Perhaps over time, it will grow on me a little. I dont see the 21 Inlay replacing my favorite Large Regular Sebenzas, but rather than having None of the beautiful 21 Inlays, I will at least have a few in my collection from now on........

I have had a few Bocote Mnandi, and have looked at tons of pics of Bocote Inlay Sebenzas, but the grain is usually plain and resembles red oak. This one, almost looks like Spalted Bocote in a way. It actually looks better in hand than in the pics I have taken. Its been raining out since I got this, so perhaps someone outdoor pics will be nicer, but this is definitely a good representation of the pretty special to me Bocote Wood.

Its pretty New too, having the BD of January 31, 2013. This is only the 2nd sebenza that I have bought new from a dealer, all the others have been from you guys/gals and the bay.

Enjoy...!!!

The inlay is Bocote, my favorite wood. It has such a unique grain, I had to get it. It's certainly not the plain Bocote your used to seeing. Will post pics as soon as it arrives.....!

Excellent choice! Bocote is one of my favorite woods as well if you find the right grain!

Inlaid sebenzas look great(duh lol). Looking forward to pics.

I only own one sebenza, skipped the regulars and went directly to an inlaid.

How do you order one? I went to the site and it has a order form, but it looks like it is more for accessories. Do you have to call them and speak to Lisa or someone?

I did not order it directly from CRK, I ordered it from a stocking dealer.

I do think though, from past experience that if you order a wood inlay from CRK, they will send you a pic of the wood inlay for approval. I am not sure on this as its been a good many years that I emailed them asking for such. With the stocking dealers, they usually have the pics of the inlay up, so you can see it. Any wood, unless something like ebony is going to have variances that make you wanna buy or pass.

The Bocote that I got almost looks like a Spalted Bocote in a way as the grain is not what your used to seeing in the many Bocote knives out there. I have some Bocote Coyote mouth calls that a guy made for me, and they are stunningly beautiful. Its always been one of my favorite woods. I have had 2 mnandi with it, but they were on the plainer side.

Will post pics as soon as it arrives, I am hoping by the end of the week....!!!

Congratulations on your new inbound.

I think you will really like the feel of the Inlay Sebenza. Once I got my first Inlay Large Seb I was hooked. I now like my Inlay Sebs over my Unique Graphics. Just something about them that makes them feel good in the hand, besides looking good too. Like everyone else here, I am looking forward to your pictures. :)

Woo hoo!

I currently have 10 sebenzas of various sizes and blade styles, 5 with micarta inlay, 1 small annual, and 4 without an inlay (one engraved, one plain, one ol' glory, and a 25). I really like the inlays and I'm glad you're finally trying one out.

Post the seller's pic in the Anticipation thread!

Oh, and congrats. :D

Lets HOPE it gets here tomorrow guys/ gals....!!!

My nightmare scenario. I'm glad you didn't have a stroke or something. I would have.

Its mine too. Its not the $$ as I am protected through paypal and all, but I was like Jeez......lol. Its at a PO like 30 miles away. Hopefully they see the town and forward it there. All the zip codes around here are like one number off, so lets just hope it was a mix up and its here tomorrow. Hopefully you see my first post edited tomorrow with pics......lol. Its going to be a LONG night.......lol lol.

Good grief, talk about pressure!! You can almost reach out and grab it........but not quite. Only less than an hour away. How come the P.O. never misdirects bills and junk mail? 't ain't fair I say. :grumpy:
