I have tried out a nice variety of Fiddlebacks over the last few years. A Ladyfinger, EDK, Kephart, and a Hunter have all passed through my hands. Each of them were superbly crafted but for one reason or another didn't work for me.

The ones that stuck around are my Camp Knife, Hiking Buddy, and a machete. These, along with a small collection of other fun sharp things handle all outdoor tasks.

Until recently I have not been able to fill the belt knife gap. Many blades from the Forge and other makers tried and fell short. Enter the Bushcrafter.

I had my sights set on a Bushfinger and ended up with this guy.

The handle is as perfect as it could be for me. It fills my hand nicely (glove size 7.5), picking it up feels natural, it has swells, flats, and contours in every place it should. I put it to work for fire prep and random whittling the last few evenings. Even after a couple hours of straight use with no gloves, I had no fatigue and no hot spots. On top of this, the blade shape is extremely useful, it has a long cutting edge and a robust tip.

This one is going to be put to use every chance I get.

I <3 it, thanks Fiddleback Forge!

Robocarullo Robocarullo YES!! Bushcrafter’s are awesome. I have a nice line up myself. I agree with all you said. I am hoping to see one with a scandi grind. Would like to try that out!! Keep us updated! And thanks for sharing your thoughts and opinions.

Nice Bushcrafter! Those scales are very 3D.

Replied to your PM. If it didn't go through and you're still interested, send me an email: wildmanh@yahoo.com.
