I've been thinking about it for quite a while and I finally pulled the trigger on a bk9. I hope it's as awesome as all of you guys say it is I'm really excited!
 
You will not be disappointed.... Beckers are some of the best, most reliable, highly customizable knives I have ever used.

And the Boss and Ka-Bar stand behind them.
 
I just posted a thread about which should be my first... the more posts I'm reading about it's greatness are pushing me further to a similar decision as yours. Stay sharp!

Not at all. I've bought scales and sheaths (kydex and leather) for all mine. Its gotten so bad I'm in the process of getting all my materials to start making and selling my own stuff:)
 
Congratulations on your ordering of the BK-9' aka The King. Pair it with a tweener like the BK-16 and you have a great combination that will handle about just every bushcraft, survival, etc. situation you will encounter.
 
You have chosen wisely. Now that you have a BK9 your car will get better mileage, and your house is 28% less likely to be struck by falling space objects. Also there is a mysterious doughnut shop deep in the woods that will give you a free apple fritter, if you can find it.

I was thinking the same thing except I love bowie blades so I think I might go with the bk17, but I'm not sure yet.

I have a bk17 and I just ordered the bk16. I have a bunch of friends that all told probably own most of the bk knives. And one thing is for sure. You can never go wrong with them. Congrats on your first!!!!!!
