I just picked up a used SnG CC from a fellow member of this forum. It was a light user with a few scuffs and scratches but over all it was in good shape. I knew this going in, but the knife does have a slight amount of side to side blade play.
That said, the lock up has no up or down blade play and I'd guess I could adjust the side to side if I had the pivot tool. As it is however, it's so slight that I doubt I'll bother with it.
I wasn't sure about Strider, especially after reading a lot of criticisms of their knives, but the price was right and I though I could catch and release if I didn't like it. The chance of that happening however is remote.
The SnG CC isn't perfect; it's over priced, there are QA issues with blade play, it requires a special tool for break down, short cutting edge compared to the overall length of the blade, but despite those concerns, it's a great knife.
The ergos are excellent, the knife itself, from the excellent stonewashed CPM154 blade finish to the flamed TI frame lock is stunning to behold. It has a robust build yet carries easily. While I haven't used it for any thing other than light chores, it cuts well and despite the angular build, fits my hand very well.
I'm so impressed with the blade, I'm now plotting how to secure a second SnG. Looks like my BM 940 and Spyderco PM2 might have to go to make room for it but I man am I thrilled with my Strider.
The orange by the way, is awesome. Congrats on the new knife.
