I have liked this blade since the day I saw it but I was not interested in actually owning it until I saw a E2E Youtube video with Ethan previewing his 16.

After that, I knew I wanted one.

Well, I finally got it and it's everything I expected. I love the ergonomics of the handle and the overall balance.
I got this for the wife, but I will, absolutely be purchasing a 15 or a 17 for myself and maybe another 16 for my daughter.

incidentally, does the Microstream, 14 and 16, get me in the good graces of my fellow BeckerHeads? LOL

Looks like you've got most of the BHGear, now just need to get the number!

Like the 16, LOVE the 17. Both will do you right though!

I have the number (284), I just have no idea how to create (or if I have the ability to create) a signature for it. And I just forget to end my posts with it.

I think I'm going to drop a few bucks for the Basic membership....hell, I'm on here enough to justify it...LOL

I went ahead and dropped for the gold. It is worth it to me. I have supported a couple other forums in the past that haven't panned out, but this one I've been on I think the longest EVER!
 
The 16 is one of our faves. Maybe because it, and the 15, were gifts from Mr. Becker. Even if they weren't, the 16 would have been one of our top choices. Great do-all blade.
 
You bought it for the wife. Sure :D

Nice score though. The 16 is one of my top three blades. Strip it and get some micarta for it:thumbup:
 
I really like the ESEE 4 and the 16 is like the ESEE 4 with the correct handle. Really nice knife. As for the membership; I spend so much time browsing and get so much information off of this site it would almost be a crime if I wasn't at least gold.
