Hey guys, I just got my shipment in that had 2 of my Case knives in it. I'm pretty proud of them, even though there is a small area on one of the bone scales of the Stockman, but I bought them as users. If were a $100 dollar knife I would send it back. Here are the part numbers if there is any interest. Thanks for getting me into these knives guys, wow these are neat.

The stars of the show:

Case Stockman / Amber ca58172
Bone / Chrome Vanadium

Case Peanut / Chestnut ca7006
Bone / Carbon Steel

Thanks Brett, there's something about these classics that drew me in.

Nice choices! I really like the bone on the Case stockman

Thanks, there was only that one discrepancy, so I shot a photo for both of us. I heard of someone filling a handle in with epoxy, but I'm not sure at this point.

Thanks for the closeups - I didn't even really notice it in your first pics. Now I see what you're talking about.

That's just part of having bone. I would not consider that a defect at all. That's a fine looking stockman; I was looking at one of those just last night. The only reason I did not buy it is that it is a stockman and I have consciously decided that they are just a handful of blades. My subconscious, however, does not go along with that and I find myself looking at stock knives frequently.

Saying that, if you like the pattern, you have a beautiful example of it right there.

Thanks for the pics and the video is pretty nice, too. Thanks for taking the time to that - much appreciated.

I wouldn´t worry about the bone on the stockman at all. It´s not a real defect, but it´s there.

I hope you enjoy your knives. I´m looking forward seeing some patina on them :)

Loving the bone on that Case stockman.

Thank you sir, I can't take the credit. It sounds like this knife is meeting the standards.

I read and and saw some pictures from you guys (and gals), so this has been a good experience. I think if you pay just that little more there is a better experience. You should have seen the brake rails that came with the ceramic disk brakes is installed recently.

My camera barley does what I need it to, but the real joy is in handleing these nicer blades.

Good choices to start off with! Now you need a trapper, whitler, sod buster, SAK, congress, toothpick, melon tester........etc, etc, etc....

I like how you chose one large, one small, and one mid size. Have you ever had a peanut sized knife before?
It'll be interesting to see which you end up favoring...

Okay, I wont see it as a defect. maybe I can get a jeweler fill it in with gold! jk. They smell like Hoppies, and there is an oil residue on them.

Your right! I saw that mini trapper with the Wharrncliffe blade and I wished it to be a double locking full size trapper. (OMG, that would be a wicked custom)
