Finally, I see one day in advance there's going to be a drop. It happened this morning at 4:30 a.m. my time. Hit refresh constantly on the website. All of a sudden it changes from out of stock to system maintenance and then magically I can order.

PayPal pisses me off. I have to update my card. Dang it!...... Okay no problem. I do that as quick as I possibly can and hit submit on my order. Is it true? Did it go through? I check my bank statement. Yep it went through!

This is the first "drop" from a knife company I ever successfully got the intended knife and didn't see it disappear from under me while in cart. The carbon fiber version was gone within minutes. It looks like I got one. I'm extremely excited.

TRM Neutron 2 in contoured carbon fiber scales should be on the way!!!!

I have the knife you ordered and really like it. I have been giving it an extended run as my EDC, 20cv, well built, light, utilitarian. I hope you like it.

Those things are quality knives! Also, I really like the new textured titanium they are doing. Congrats on the purchase, if you like thinner knives you’ll love the TRM

I started liking lighter thinner knives a few years ago when the Protech Malibu came out. Thank you for saying that. I can't tell in pictures what the actual size is going to be.

Congrats! Are these still in 20cv? I don't see the steel listed anymore on the site. If it was Magnacut I might be able to justify snagging one :)
I could not find what steel they were in. This is the first time I can honestly say I did not even care. All that really mattered was getting one!

Great knife, great company! TRMs have been getting.. i won't say easy.. but, easier to acquire these days. They seem to have ramped up manufacturing efforts and releases of knives, scales, etc seem more frequent. They also like to "sprinkle" in small batches and will sometimes trickle out a handful of knives at a time randomly inbetween the larger planned drops.. it can pay off to check their website frequently and at odd hours if you're looking for one. Signing up for their newsletter is another great way to stay up to date on drops, and the TRM facebook group (of all places haha) is full of really supportive members who enjoy helping other members get their hands on TRM knives..

Hope you enjoy your Neutron Yo Mama!

Good advice. I'm going to sign up for their newsletter now!

Congratulations!!

I know how exciting it is to snag a highly sought after knife, and the excitement when "refresh bashing" pays off!
I look forward to your pictures of the knife, I am not familiar with that brand.
This is the first from the company that I have bought, I will definitely update once it arrives! I love your words of refresh bashing, I was definitely doing this.

Ive been carrying the Neutron since I bought it. Yesterday I set it down and noticed a vibrating sound. Inspected it and discovered that'll three back-spacer screws had come loose. I used the absolute smallest amount of blue thread locker and secured one screw at a time.

I almost ordered an atom yesterday but held off. The deep carry pocket clip is what stopped me. Theres no option to change out to a normal style clip.

I find that the execution of the neutron is amazing. Dont think I need an Atom right now. The design really creates a big small knife.

I don't know who I was kidding, this morning just ordered the Atom. OD green micarta on the way!

Now I'll have one big and one small, couldn't say no, TRM is bringing the A game here.
Awesome man! , and I take it you’re happy with the Neutron? I have only handled 2 TRMs, but yeah the quality on mine were both perfect also….glassy smooth

The neutron is seriously such an amazing lightweight eec that I just can't pass up on the idea of getting the bigger brother. One for summer and one for the rest of the year.

Congrats on getting your knife !

The neutron 2 is a dream slicer with excellent fit and finish, and TRM is a model manufacturer :
- they are not artificially limiting their production to increase the hype, but are doing everything possible for them to make it available to most people
- their knives are very fairly priced for some fully made in US products
- their customer service is incredible, and I emphasize this point as a foreign customer.

Knife enthusiasts are being enthusiastic about a knife and its manufacturer.. discussion ensues. Is that not the point of a website called "Blade Forums?"
Posts about ordering and status of orders are different. Additionally ones that come across like ads.
