Recently I went on a hiking trip and somehow lost my opinel No.5:(. Even though this is a 10 dollar knife it was one of my favorites. And the worst part is I just spent all of my knife fund money :grumpy: So have any of you guys lost one of your favorite knives?

A long time ago, my dad's uncles had a rather large tool & die company in SoCal. They had SAK Classics w/out the plastic with their logo printed on them. I left it on the night stand next to the bed in a hotel in Sandusky Ohio when I was about 10. I'm still pissed about that and that was 32 years ago.

I have yet to lose a blade *knock on wood :)

All the more reason to get another! I always see the glass half full lol

Lost a couple knives both at work, unfortunately. An old Kershaw Speed Bump a few years ago, and more recently my Leatherman Skeletool CX. I feel your pain, brother. Oh! And my SOG Seal Pup Elite. No idea where that one went.

I lost a 1st year of production Spyderco Endura. I'm still pissed, that was about 5 years ago.

I lost a gerber paraframe once, best day of my life! Replaced it with Kershaw chive and ever since fell deeper into the pit of good knives!

I lost a seb a few years ago.

I remember using it inside my house, somehow I lost it. I looked everywhere for it. Looked in the same places I already looked....couldn't think of any other place/

places to look.

I had to change a headlight blub 11 months after I lost the seb. I keep some spare bulbs and a couple pair of binoculars in the same box. I got a spare blub out

of the box and found my seb in the box. I don't remember putting the knife in that box. I was really glad to find it.

Lost a Big 5 exclusive Kershaw Chill with thumb studs (they normally don't have thumb studs which I consider a requirement on any knife). I lost it shortly after I broke my arm and was in a full arm cast, so not only was I stuck in a full arm cast I lost what was my favorite knife back than. I didn't even have time to put the knife through it paces.

I lost my KM2000 during a night orientation march (KM2000 = Kampfmesser2000 means something like FightingKnife2000, this is the infantry knife of the german army )
The march was about 20 miles in forrest and i cant really say where and when i lost it :(

I have misplaced a few knives in the past, but I usually find them shortly after. The worst was my Streamlight stylus penlight, I lost it for about 2 years and randomly found it in an old backpack. I thought I had left it in the woods in northern Maine on a camping trip. I had given up all hope and it miraculously turned up. I did quite a dance afterwards.
