Hello,

for those who've looked at some of my previous posts you know that you know that here lately i've been looking for "my" perfect production clip folder.
Ok so... the saga continues... just came back from my knife dealer (which also, coincidentially happens to be hands down my favorite gun shop) and I thought you guys might care how it went:

I walked in more or less convinced Spyderco was THE way to go... until I handled some...
I tried out a Police, Military, and Native (what they had on hand), none really fit well... the length was there (especially on that police, mein gott!) but the width wasn't.
Ok so then he gives me a sly grin and pulls out an Emerson CQC7 Tanto in Black T, it was almost a religious experience! The knife just felt right, I woulda bought it then and there cept I promised my mother I wouldn't spend any mother this time around, and I figured I couldn't let her down.
So ok, so far the Emerson is well in the lead, despite the fact that they but one Benchmade on hand (and that was a small one), i'll check out any new Benchies they might have next time I go... but I think the Emerson may be the one for me.

Do yourself a favor and make sure you look at the Emerson Commander, before you buy the CQC7; Good Luck.

YC,
www.osograndeknives.com has CQC7's with the Wave for $129.99, and pics of all the options. Don't know if they have all those in stock, but it's worth a look. Looks sweet with green G-10 and satin blade.
I think I'm catching the bug again myself:)

Whatever knife feels like YOUR knife and causes an out of body experience, BUY it!!!! I already live in my garage, eat cold sh*t out of cans, have a new family name as of yesterday, "SH*Tbag, Yeah You!!!" (nice to at least now have a middle and last name again!!!)but when it comes to KNIVES, if I touch it and it starts to become sexual, i just best buy it. Your Mom would not want you to have sex with an unknown, just like my wife expects me to maintain fidelity. But Knives have to be. Just have to be. So Go back, hold a commander also than Buy them both!!!!!
By the way, anyone wanna trade a commander (mine) for a small tent and sleeping bag? I am cold........wolf

Thanks for the encouragement,

I'll try out a Commander if I get the chance before I buy... but it's hard to imagine anything more comfy than that CQC7 :)

Also i'm not sure me getting a "Wave" Emerson is a good idea, I looked at the videos and info on the Emerson site and i'm concerned about slicing up my jeans and/or my shirt (I tend to wear "open shirts" yknow, of the unbuttoned variety), and in the event I actually had an emergency, an unexpected catch on some cloth from the wave would be...unwelcome.

Go with the waved version.

The CQC-7 is a sweet knife without the wave, but with that little wave on the top of the blade, it's like pure friggin' magic.

The videos don't do it justice.
