Hello All I finished my first knife. it was a kit fron northcoast knives. very well done and, I once again showed myself there is not much I cannot teach myself. So here it is along with the Bear Grylls style sheath I also made. I am sorry to say the first photo is my ugly mug holding the knife. I want to make more for friends and possible sales but here is my dilemma, how do I go about that? Do I need to go through a blade smithing school or apprentice with a local maker? and is it a problem if I am not of sole authorship? I intend to make future knifes from sratch using the stock removal process. so please chime in here and let me have the scoop please and thank you. almost forgot the details, the scales are corian ( wow I know I was amazed to find it) the pins andbolsters are nickel. I ground about 3/32 off the top front of the knife I like a pointier blade.
:)

nice.

I too would suggest dropping in over at the makers forums. You'll be amazed at the amount of into available.

Welcome to BF!

The problem is that you are new and will be competing with many others for the same business, so you need to get past people's hesitancy about a new knife/knife maker.

I suggest that you go into the Wilderness & Survival subforum and arrange a knife pass-around, so that as many people as possible can get a free chance to test-drive your knife/knife design. They will give you straight talk on what they liked and what needs to be improved upon. With this review under your belt, hopefully you will start getting orders for your knives.

Also, if you want to sell here, you will need to upgrade your membership.

A true gentleman's knife. Man, I'd get something like that if I had to wear a suit to work every day. Nice work!
