Check it out. I just got a LNIB old-style BM AFCK (liner lock). The blade wasn't centered when closed and rubbed one side upon opening and closing. I took the blade out and cleaned the pivot area and reassembled, but still it was the same way.

Finally, I took the closed knife in both hands and with my thumbs pressed in the middle of one side of the handle, I used my fingers to flex the body. After applying a moderate amound of pressure and seeing it flex I heard a faint "pop". I let go and guess what? It's fixed. The blade is perfectly centered and everything works fine and is straight and nothing is damaged. Maybe something just wasn't seated right and my technique popped everything back into place.

I'm like a folding-knife chiropracter!:D

I e-mailed Kershaw about some liner lock issues, they said the speedsafe mechanism can cause the blade to twist, that may be your problem

Fulloflead, I to have the same knife. An original AFCK which imho are still the best of the breed. Anhwho, I have(had) the same problem with mine. I have done everything except what you did and send it in. So out it comes from the drawer. Go into the sunlight at one of our picture windows and do the same thing. Thing to remember is to press on the side that is closest to the liner. Voila`now a perfectly centered blade! Gump your a g.d. genius. Thanks for the tip and keep'em sharp

Woo hoo!!! Thank you so much for this thread. I have a benchmade stryker that has always drifted over to the right when closed. Now thanks to knife chiro. its perfectly centered. I was even thinking about getting rid of it. But i never could go throught with it because its the smoothest liner locking knife i have with no blade wiggle!!! thanks again. Now its back to being one of my favorites.
