Diamond files and faux Dremel with 1/8 inch(?) diameter pink grinding stone "fixed" it, in my humble (possibly biased) opinion.
There was a slight high spot on the edge at the tang. The plastic frame of my sharpening stone hit the kick,/tang (the "ricasso"?) preventing sharpening the last 1/32inch or so of the blades, thus creating an high spot.
So .... I filed and ground a choil on the three blades.
(knife is my BTI Old Timer 858OTB; not my rare vintage "collectable" Old Timer USA 858. Schrade USA was kind enough to include a small choil on the blades.)
"Pictures or it didn't happen!" right?
(might be difficult top see, even with the red background. I didn't want to "over-do" it.
