I love the knife but i HATE the bigg fat clip so.......

What do you think? it took me all of 5 min to do it.

New clip doesn't look bad at all, plus it is less conspicuous. I carry a big Ti JYD at work, and I have to admit that I like the original clip the way it is, though. It flows with the shape of the handle quite nicely.

Well i have 2 or 3 g10 jyds and one ti but i find myself carrying the g10 one more than the ti.

I had that clip off five minutes after getting it home. Great knife - lousy clip.

At this point, I think it might be worthwhile to petition Kershaw to make a new clip. It would probably go over quite well, considering how you can barely talk about this knife without people complaining about the current clip.

So Thomas, what would it take to get a nice, ordinary looking (preferably low riding) clip made up for the JYD II?

I think your chances are better talking to STR about that, having him make up a few to send for people to install themselves.

If the clip is a huge issue, just get another clip, an STR Lowrider, as mentioned, would go a long way to solving some issues with the knife. If I am not mistaken there may be another Kershaw clip that will fit a JYD.... I'll check on it and get back to you this this evening.

And BTW I guess I am in the vast minority that likes the current clip.:p

I like the original clip better, but as long as you like your new clip, and you get more enjoyment out of carrying it now, then it shouldn't matter what we think. Great knife either way!

Eh, I gots no problem with the original clip, either. But I can see it might not be too "PC" in some environments.

What's that tag line I keep seeing? "Political correctness is just tyranny with manners." Supposedly from Charlton Heston.

GREAT advice. Steve Rice, aka STR can do a wonderful clip for you. He did my lowrider clip on my Tyrade, and IF I can get a JYDII titanium, he,ll be doing a clip for it!

Way to go, Theo!

I like the clip as is when I'm holding the knife, but not so much when it's clipped to my pocket.
