I was sitting here trying to figure out why I couldn't get a patina on this slim 8 then it dawned on me that it was made of sandvik... Silly.

That's funny cchu, I use an opi every morning to slice my grapefruit, and just a week or so ago, I had the same thoughts--why isn't this blade showing a patina??? Oh, DUH!! its Sandvik....
Great knives either way, and that Sandvik takes a hella edge.

Those are really sweet knives, I love the one I have, it won't be the last. What type of wood is that one? They also have nice stainless blade steel.
