This must be an ebay exclusive because it's not on SOG's website. What the @#%& is this?





It sure it pretty. Cheap, too. What the heck is going on? :confused:
 
It might be a good idea to email Chris the auction number(or just post it here so we can all report it.:D on second thought,that might be against the rules.Better go with plan A.:o)
 
There's about 100 of them. Do a search for "SOG lock" on ebay and sort from lowest price to highest.
 
Yes, they are all over the place. I have been trying to get them removed with out much success. Thanks for the head up though.

I agree that there is a massive epidemic of fakes on ebay. Some of these SOG fakes are being sold not just from China but from out of the US as well. Even so I have purchased many knives on eBay including SOG, Spyderco and Benchmade. And all have been 100% genuine. Just be sure to check the seller's feedback, carefully inspect whatever pictures are provided and read the description for any clues. It also doesn't hurt to view multiple listings of the same knife to compare. I said 100% of the knives I got were real, but I did in fact buy one of these "SOG Lock" knives. It was before you could find any solid information indicating it was a fake. But I did strongly suspect that it was. But I still wanted to see it for myself. It turned out to be surprisingly well made. The fit and finish was good and there were no sharp edges. All parts lined up and after a fresh lubrication(after having had opened and closed the knife several hundred times) the blade movement was decently smooth. It was however rather heavy for it's size due to it's all stainless steel construction. It had a 2.75" blade and weighed 3.25oz.
 
I agree with what you mean by inspecting them and making sure you know what you are getting, but there are alot of people out there that dont know alot about knives. My friend was one of them. I wouldnt totally rely on their profile ebay feedback because alot of fakes i have seen, the seller has good feedback.
