My Paramilitary has come back to me! Turns out it was in my room the whole time. I moved just a few days after it was "lost", from the barracks to a nice house off post, and since I still have to keep the room in the barracks I didn't move everything out. So tonight I was over there picking up a few things I had left behind and came across my Para lying under a washcloth! Made my day let me tell you. :D

Nothing better than finding a lost one...other than getting one for free. Btw, I like your avatar...reminds me of this squirrel today I saw at the park and had some fun with in the meantime. We took my kids to the park about a block away with all these old, huge oak trees that could or possibly couldn't be there in a few days. Anyhow, this lil' guy was right at the opening of a big trash can (the ones with the open dome face). The lil' bugger went inside...so I told my wife to watch the kids while I snuck over to the backside and shaked the can. She died laughin' needless to say when the lil' guy went out in a flyin' leap shortly after. Then she said that I should have done it one the front side so that I could have seen it. And I was like yah right and have the guy run up on me...you gotta be krazy! It was pretty hilarious though and a much needed laugh with the impending storm coming! :p

:) I was so sure I lost My MeerKat last Month. I Had given up. A couple of days ago I was talking about it again and My fiancee said "Did ya check the couch".......Although I was sure I did,I checked again and there it was :)

The couch swallows more knives and coins than any other thing in my life. It is the first place I check.

kudzu, that does sound like a laugh riot. One of our family traditions while camping is to go "fishing" for chipmunks. Not with hooks or course, we just tie a peanut to the end of a fishing line and cast it out towards the chippies. They stuff it in their pouches and try to run, then get REALLY confused when it starts pulling back at them. I've had them hold on until they were two feet off the ground! Some of them get smart and cut the line with their teeth, they really are pretty intelligent little creatures.

JLannoo and Ming65, isn't that the truth. I've found more than one missing item in couch cushions.

Actually, I left my Paramilitary at your house under a washcloth....the washcloth only had 2 sides right? Well, that's definitly it....if you could send it back to me (the knife, not the washcloth) I would be delighted.

Thom
BTW: congratulations!!

Congrats! So far the only knife I've lost was an old slipjoint my parents gave me when I was a kid. Spent a few hours looking for it in the rain in my neighbour's yard, and finally found it. I took pretty good care of it after that. :)
